Professor, Accounting and Taxation

Professor Adrian P. Fitzsimons is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Certified Management Accountant. Fitzsimons has taught at St. John's for over 30 years and has served as chair of the Department of Accounting and Taxation for 14 years. Fitzsimons has written extensively on accounting and auditing topics. He served as a vice president and a director for the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and as president, president-elect and treasurer of the Queens-Brooklyn Chapter of the NYSSCPAs and as corresponding secretary and a director of the ISACA - the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
