Associate Professor, Accounting and Taxation

Associate Professor Vincent J. Shea II focuses most of his research in the areas of Business Valuation of Information Technology (BVIT) and decision usefulness of Activity Based Costing (ABC). He has published articles in several journals, including the Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Forensic Accounting, and CPA Journal. He has also presented research papers in both Europe and the United States—including national, regional and sectional meetings of the American Accounting Association. Prior to his employment at St. John’s University, Shea taught as a visiting assistant professor at the University or North Florida and as a teaching fellow at Kent State University, where he was twice nominated for the Kent State University College of Business Administration Teaching Award.
